ABOUT

There is no theme or blatant conceptual element to this project other than to document 115 pictures of myself in as many ways and from as many perspectives as possible, both literally and figuratively. The only criteria I hold to myself is that each picture must allow the viewer to learn something about me or deduce a sense of who I am from the photos. I understand that simply taking 115 pictures of myself (straightforward, abstract, or otherwise) can never truly define who I am, or anyone else for that matter; so with that in mind I attempt to vary the subject matter within the parameters of "me": from the places I go, the people I see, my belongings, my body, my clothes, my family, my friends...each area apart of the realm that is "myself"; each picture illuminating another corner of my life. This is an impressionistic painting, done with a very broad brush in only 115 strokes...just stand back a bit and you might see it.
